Sponsor Sette – The Sweet Blue-Nose Pit Bull Who Deserves a Second Chance

Meet Sette, our sweet and spirited blue-nose Pit Bull who came to us through a special connection. Sette’s journey started with an American service family who had adopted her from a breeder, believing she would be safe with their children and cats. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. Sette wasn’t the right fit for their home, as she proved unsafe around both their young children and their beloved Ragdoll cats. She tragically took the life of one of their beautiful cats, and despite their love for her, the family knew they couldn’t keep her in that environment.

This is where we came in. The family reached out to us, hoping we could help save Sette from being euthanized or placed in a shelter where her future would be uncertain. Normally, we would have declined such a situation, but Sette's story was different. Travis, our team member, has a special love for blue-nose Pit Bulls, and this family had already proven to be one of our longer-term adopters who treated our dogs with great care and compassion. After much thought, we agreed to take Sette in.

Sette is incredibly sweet and has settled in nicely with us. While she’s not safe with farm animals or cats, she is a loyal and loving companion to Travis and gets along well with her housemate, Frito. They play together often, and she enjoys her time here at the sanctuary, where she has a safe and loving home.

Sette’s story is one of second chances. She’s had a tough start, but she’s now thriving in a peaceful environment where she can just be herself.
